Coach Chris "Woody" Sherwood
Chris “Woody” Sherwood coached Zeitgeist to our 6th place finish at Nationals 2009, and is returning for the 2010 season, which has already included a trip to the World Ultimate Club Championships in Prague. As an ultimate frisbee veteran who’s been in the game for more years than most Zeitgeisters have been alive, Woody has played an instrumental role in the success of zG. Not only does Woody bring an unmatched knowledge of the game and strategy that keeps our opponents spinning, he also brings the party, occasionally functioning after tournaments as the “Beer Fairy” or the “Icer.” When he’s not volunteering his time with zG, encouraging us to “stand tall,” “hit the sticks,” or making us run full field sprints until he tells us to stop, Woody also enjoys mixing drinks, drinking drinks, hosting parties at the Honeypot, and playing the French horn.
The official Woody song (to the tune of Macarena):
Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody.
Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody.
Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody,
Heeeey Woody Woody.
Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody.
Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody.
Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody Woody,
Heeeey Woody Woody.
